IED wounds 2 in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Two civilians on Saturday were injured in an explosive device blast that ripped through Kirkuk city, according to a local security source. “This morning, an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted the convoy of Col. Abdullah Qadir, the director of the police dogs department in Kirkuk police, wounding two civilians,” a source from the Joint Coordination Center in the city told IraqiNews.com news agency. Two vehicles, including a civilian car, were destroyed by the blast, according to the source. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians, and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
