Cop killed, civilian wounded in incidents in Ninewa

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: One policeman on Sunday was killed and a civilian was wounded in two separate incidents in Mosul city, according to a local security source. “Today, unknown gunmen opened fire on a policeman at a checkpoint in al-Faisaliya area, downtown Mosul, killing him on the spot,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Meanwhile, a civilian was wounded when a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) went off in al-Qadisiya neighborhood, northern Talafar (60 km west of Mosul city),” according to Talafar’s police chief, Col.
