Kurdistan RegionG blames Hadbaa for murder of Kurds, displacement of Christians in Mosul

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG) held officials of al-Hadbaa List in Ninewa responsible for the murder of more than 2,000 Kurds and the displacement of Kurdish and Christian families from the province, according to a statement by a Kurdistan RegionG official spokesman. “The leaders of al-Hadbaa are adopting a policy of national, sectarian and religious cleansing in Ninewa,” read the statement as received by Iraqi News. “Terrorist campaigns, bombing attacks and assassinations, particularly during the recent period, were meant against Kurds, Turkmen and Christians,” it said, noting that the number of only Kurdish victims of “terrorism and murders” exceeded 2,000 people, in addition to the forced relocation of Kurdish and Christian families. The statement called on the federal government and all the bodies concerned in a federal Iraq, including the presidency, cabinet and parliament, to set up ad hoc committees to “closely examine this threat posed against all that Iraqis have built and sacrificed for”.
