U.S. firms proposes investment hospital in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: A group of U.S. firms proposed on Thursday to construct an investment hospital with a total capacity of 200 beds in al-Shattra district, northern Thi-Qar province. “A delegation from the group visited the province,” Hussein al-Jabberi, the media spokesperson of the Thi-Qar Investment Commission, told Iraqi News. “The group showed interest in constructing a hospital in al-Shattra, 45 km north of Baghdad, as there are presently no hospitals in this suburb,” he said. Al-Jabberi pointed out that the group will file an investment request with all the required documents within the coming week. He noted that the group will also study power and oil refineries investment projects in Thi-Qar. Nassiriya, the capital city of Thi-Qar province, lies 380 km south of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
