URGENT / Kamal Karkouki nominated for Kurdish parliament’s speaker

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Head of the legal committee at the Kurdistan ‘s parliament unveiled on Thursday that Dr. Kamal Karkouki is the nominee for the post of parliament speaker. “The nominee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) for the parliament’s speaker is Dr. Kamal Karkouki,” Shirwan al-Haydari told Iraqi News. “The nominee of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) for the deputy speaker is Dr. Arslan Bayez,” Frest Ahmad, the parliament’s secretary, told Iraqi News.
