DUHUK / IraqiNews.com: U.S. officials have revealed plans to set up 16 checkpoints in a number of disputed areas in Ninewa’s Mosul City, according to a senior Iraqi official. “This afternoon, a delegation headed by the U.S. consul in Mosul and the U.S. commander there discussed security issues with local officials in the district,” the mayor of Shaykhan district, Hasso Nirmo, told Iraqi News.
