Diwaniya governor signs MoU to implement investment projects

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Diwaniya governor signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ajman company to implement investment projects in the province worth more than $2 billion, head of the Diwaniya investment commission said on Friday. “Among the projects the UAE company desires to invest in al-Furat al-Awsat airport in Diwaniya, an oil refinery with a capacity over than 100,000 barrels per day, a cement factory and a private medical compound,” Hakem al-Khuzaai told Iraqi News. “The company aims also to set up a five-star hotel, a private hospital with 400 beds, a developed sports center and a residential project,” he added. “The agreement highlights that the projects will be implemented in 120 days starting from the day of signing the memo,” he noted.
