Salah al-Din bombing casualties reach 23

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Casualties from the car bomb blast that ripped through an emergency police headquarters in Salah al-Din earlier today have reached 23, according to a security source. “The final toll from the blast that targeted the headquarters of al-Shurqat emergency police on the west coast has reached nine dead, including three policemen, and 14 wounded persons, including five cops,” the source told Iraqi News. Most of the wounded have been taken to Tikrit Teaching Hospital, the source pointed out. Earlier this morning, a police source said that three policemen were killed and six others were wounded when a suicide bomber rammed his car bomb into the headquarters of al-Shurqat emergency police company on the west coast. The headquarters building was severely damaged in the blast, the source explained. Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din province, lies 175 km north of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
