8 arrested, IED defused in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen captured four wanted persons and four suspected others and defused an improvised explosive device during security raids conducted in different areas of Basra , a local security source said. “Forces from the Basra police department conducted search raids in the province, arresting four wanted men on criminal charges and four suspects others,” the source told Iraqi News. “The Criminal Evidence Police Department also defused an IED in the area of al-Tuweisa, close to al-Rassoul mosque in central Basra ,” the source added.
