Cop gunned down in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Unidentified gunmen on Sunday killed a policeman in downtown Mosul city, according to a local security source. “Today, unknown gunmen assassinated a cop while he was off-duty in al-Sirgkhana area, downtown Mosul,” the source told Iraqi News. “The cop died upon reaching the hospital,” the source noted, providing no further details.
