Iraq out of Jordan tournament after 2nd defeat

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s junior soccer team kissed the 2nd Arab tournament in Jordan goodbye after they lost 1/2 to Syria’s Tishreen club within the third round encounters on Thursday. Iraq collected only one point from three matches as it drew 1/1 with Jordan’s al-Ramtha club and two losses to Shabab al-Ardon and Syria’s Tishreen. Arbil, the Iraqi soccer league title holder, packed up to leave ahead of the junior team after a win, a draw and a loss and only four points that were not enough to qualify it to the semi-final round.
