11 civilians wounded in 2 blasts in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Eleven civilians were wounded in two blasts with improvised explosive devices in central and eastern Baghdad separately on Sunday, an Iraqi police source said. “An IED attached by unidentified persons to a civilian vehicle went off in the area of al-Baladiyat, eastern Baghdad , leaving six people wounded,” the source told Iraqi News. “Security forces sealed off the explosion scene while the wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital,” he added. The same source said that another IED planted on the main road near the Central Market in central Baghdad’s district of al-Karada went off, leaving five civilians wounded. AmR (P)/SR 1
