Speaker, USAID delegation discuss support programs

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Iyad al-Samarraie on Tuesday received a delegation from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to discuss programs to support the Parliament. “The delegation included Parliamentary Strengthening Manager Jim Hart, Canadian Senator Mac Harb and a program coordinator,” according to an official statement received by Iraqi News. “Coordination has taken place to find a headquarters for the agency and to set up a supervisory board comprising Iraqi staff in an attempt to develop legislative work in Iraq,” the statement added.
