4 killed, wounded in separate blasts in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four persons on Saturday morning were killed or wounded in two separate blasts that ripped though the capital Baghdad, according to a police source. “A sticky improvised explosive device (IED) hit a civilian vehicle in al-Tobaji area, western Baghdad, killing its driver and wounding another person who was close to the scene of the blast,” the source told Iraqi News. “The explosion caused severe damage to the car,” the source noted. “Meanwhile, two cops were injured when another IED targeted their patrol vehicle in al-Jadiriya area, downtown Baghdad,” according to the same source. “Security forces sealed off the scene of the blast, while ambulances rushed the wounded to a nearby hospital,” it added.
