Parliament to focus on elections, oil, gas, retirement bills – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s parliament will give priority to review the elections, oil, gas, and retirement draft laws in its upcoming sessions, according to MP Nour al-Din al-Hayali, from the Iraqi Accord Front. “The parliament will review important draft laws such as oil, gas, 2010 general budget, retirement and protecting journalists bill,” al-Hayali told Iraqi News, noting that the parliament will give priority to these bills in the coming session. “There is an intention inside the parliament to approve the retirement law to increase the retired people’s income,” he added. The parliament failed to hold the last session on Sept. 15 before the Lesser Bairam due to lack of quorum. SH (P) 1
