IED blast wounds 2 policemen in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen, one of them an officer, were wounded when an improvised explosive device went off near their patrol in northern Mosul city on Saturday, a local police source in Ninewa said. “The IED exploded near a police patrol in the area of al-Ghabat, northern Mosul, leaving two policemen, one of them an officer in the rank of captain, wounded,” the source told Iraqi News. “The IED detonated off a casino in the area when the foot patrol was passing nearby,” the source said, not giving further details.
