4 arrested in Jalawlaa

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Iraq army forces captured a wanted man and three suspects in an area of the northern Diala district of Jalawlaa on Sunday, a security source said. “Army troops, acting upon intelligence tip-offs, conducted a search raid in the area of Tabaj, Jalawlaa, (30 km) southwest of Khanaqin district, arresting a wanted man and three suspects others,” the source told Iraqi News. Khanaqin, one of the districts subject to dispute between the central government in Baghdad and the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG), lies 155 km northeast of Baaquba city. “One of the arrested men is wanted on charges of murdering a civilian while the others are suspected of involvement with armed organizations in Jalawlaa,” he added. “The four arrested men are now remanded under investigative custody,” the source said, not giving more information. Baaquba, the capital city of the restive province of Diala, lies 75 km northeast of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
