Bidders for power station projects to meet on Thur.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A spokesperson for the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity said it will hold a conference with the participation of 50 international companies bidding for power station projects this Thursday. “The conference will be held at Sheraton Hotel, Arbil, on Thursday (Oct. 1),” Aziz Sultan told Iraqi News. The ministry will outline its plan for implementing seven electricity stations all over the country, which are expected to supply the national grid with 4,000 megawatts, Sultan noted. The stations will be built in the provinces of Muthanna, Diwaniya, Baghdad, Basra, Kirkuk and Mosul. The equipment will be supplied by General Electric and Siemens companies, according to the spokesperson. SS (P) 1
