Defense ministry says security forces control Tal Abata

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Defense Ministry asserted on Wednesday that Tal Abata district in western Mosul did not fall into terrorists’ hands, noting that police and army forces are deployed in the region. “What has been circulated by satellite channels on the fall of Tal Abata district into terrorists hands is fabricated,” the ministry said in a statement received by Iraqi News. The statement quoted the official spokesman for the ministry as urging mass media to stick to accurate news and statements released by the ministry’s media department.
