Former PM meets with Larijani on bilateral ties
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s former prime minister and the leader of the National Reform Movement Ibrahim al-Jaafari has met with the speaker of the Iranian Majlis, Ali Larijani, to discuss bilateral relations, according to Mehr News Agency (MNA). “Larijani has expressed his relief at the development of relations between the two countries in all fields,” according to the news agency. Jaafari founded his National Reform Movement after he had defected from Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s Islamic Daawa Party. His movement won four seats in the 28-member Diwaniya provincial council during the last elections, held in January 2009. SS (P) 1
