Contract with Turkish firm to execute irrigation project in Ninewa

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Irrigation Minister Abdillateef Jamal Rasheed signed a contract with a Turkish firm to execute the first stage of an irrigation project in Ninewa province. “The project will improve production of strategic agricultural products in Iraq,” a release issued on Tuesday by the Irrigation Minister quoted Rasheed. He said that the project’s cost is around ID61.7 billion. Another statement of the Ministry said that Minister Rasheed received a delegation from the Czech embassy in Baghdad, and discussed with them methods of improving irrigation projects in Iraq.
