PM orders $50m in compensations for Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki ordered the release of $50 million to Diwaniya in compensations for terrorist and military operations in the province, a local source said on Thursday. “Prime Minister Maliki gave the instructions during his visit to the province on Thursday (Oct. 7),” Mouayad al-Ansari, an advisor for the Diwaniya Provincial Council Chief, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The sum will be disbursed in three months’ time as priority will go for the services sector, municipalities, health, roads and reconstruction of schools destroyed during military operations in Diwaniya during the past period, he added.
