Power distribution plant opened in Sulaimaniya

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A power distribution plant was inaugurated in the city of Sulaimaniya at a cost of $9.398 million, according to a statement released on Friday by the national information center. “The plant is considered one of the important projects within plans to solve the electricity crisis,” Kurdish Minister of Electricity Hoshyar Sowaily said during the inauguration ceremony. “The electricity ministry’s efforts will continue and another power production plant (Jamjamal) will be opened with a production capacity of 750 Megawatt by the end of the year,” the statement quoted the minister as saying.
