3 wounded in 3rd blast rocking Ramadi

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A third car bomb in the province of al-Anbar on Sunday left three people wounded within an initial count of casualties, a local police source said. “A car bomb went off on Sunday near al-Ramadi hospital, in the northern part of the city, leaving three persons wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Earlier on Sunday (Oct. 11), a security source said five people were killed and 22 others wounded when two car bombs ripped through a parking lot near the provincial council building in central al-Ramadi city. “The blasts left five people, including three Civil Defense personnel, killed and 22 others – 10 civilians and 12 policemen – wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The three dead Civil Defense personnel were present in the first explosion site, a short time before the second blast. They were killed while treating the persons wounded from the first car bomb attack,” the source added. “The casualties are most likely to rise due to the powerful blast that also left several civilian vehicles ablaze and severely damaged some nearby stores,” he said. Ramadi, the capital city of the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
