First train from Turkey to arrive on Mon.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The first train coming from Turkey will arrive tomorrow in Iraq’s Mosul city, transporting iron and cement, the Iraqi Ministry of Transportation said. “This is part of the dry channel project, which links the southern half of the globe to the North,” according to a ministry statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The step has been taken in cooperation the Syrian railways,” the statement noted.On July 1, the ministry opened a dry channel with Syria to facilitate the flow of trade.
