Parliament dismisses local official in Salah al-Din

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi parliament decided to dismiss the head of the Salah al-Din provincial council for forging his transcripts and criminal record. “The Iraqi Education Ministry confirmed that Ahmed Abdullah forged his transcripts,” lawmaker Ammar Yusif told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that Abdullah also forged his criminal record that shows he had been convicted in a robbery case in 1996. Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din province, lies 175 km north of Baghdad.
