Joint force detonates sticky bomb in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A joint force from the Iraqi police and the Multi-National Force (MNF) on Wednesday found a sticky explosive device in Kirkuk, according to a security source. “At 02:20 p.m., personnel from al-Zab checkpoint found a sticky device under a white Mitsubishi-modeled car belonging to a checkpoint soldier,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The device has been removed and safely detonated, the source added. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
