Parliament’s accountability committee to question interior minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Head of the parliament’s accountability and justice committee, Falah Shanshal, unveiled on Thursday that the committee gathered the signatures of 60 lawmakers to question Jawad Boulani. “The accountability and justice committee presented a detailed report to the parliament, in which it asserted the minister is not committed to its law through his decision to bring back to the service 2313 former security officers who are included in the committee’s law,” Shanshal said at a press conference in Baghdad, attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The committee presented a report on the security violations behind which the Interior Ministry stands, mainly the Bloody Wednesday bombings, in addition to the financial and administrative corruption operations by some Baathist officers,” he explained.
