District chief escapes attempt on his life in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The director of the Talabta district survived an attempt on his life when an improvised explosive device blast targeted his motorcade in western Mosul on Monday, a local police source in Ninewa said. “An IED went off near Abdulrahman Khalid Jassem’s motorcade in al-Yarmuk neighborhood, western Mosul, causing damage to the vehicle he was boarding but he survived unscathed,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.
