Gunman arrested in western Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces arrested a gunman carrying an explosive belt in western Mosul, a source from the Ninewa operations command said on Monday. “A force from the 7th brigade of the 2nd division in Mosul managed on Monday (Oct. 19) to arrest a gunman carrying an explosive belt in Mshierfa region, western Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The gunman was released ten days ago from the Bucca detention center in Basra,” the source added. “He was arrested before putting on the explosive belt,” he noted, without adding further details.
