Parliament’s agenda without election law

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Parliament on Thursday started its regular session under Speaker Iyad al-Samarraie with an agenda free from the vote on the controversial election law. “The agenda, includes a vote on the first amendment of the judiciary bill and the vote on the decisions number 120 of 1986 and 26 of 2003,” a media source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Today’s session witnesses the first reading of the federal budget of the financial year 2010, the first reading of the pharmacists draft law and the second reading of the complementary federal budget of the financial year 2009,” he added, “It includes also the second reading of the non-governmental organizations bill and the second reading of the first amendment of the water resources ministry draft law number 50 of 2008,” he noted.
