Turkish foreign, trade ministers arrive in Basra to open consulate

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Turkish foreign and trade ministers arrived on Friday in Basra to open the Turkish consulate, official spokesman for Basra governor said. “The two ministers, accompanied by around 150 Turkish businessmen, arrived at the Basra international airport on Friday (Oct. 30) to open the Turkish consulate in the province,” Salem Taqi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Governor Shaltagh Aboud and a number of the local council ‘s members and officials received the Turkish delegation at the airport,” he added. “The consulate will be opened on Friday before the inauguration ceremony of the Iraqi-Turkish investment conference,” the spokesman noted.
