IED hits U.S. convoy in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device (IED) on Saturday targeted a U.S. convoy in the capital Baghdad, the Iraqi police said. “The device targeted a U.S. convoy in al-Zaafaraniya area, southeastern Baghdad,” a police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. There has been no word on casualties, the source pointed out, adding that U.S. forces sealed off the scene of the blast.
