Bike bomb kills, wounds 42 near Hilla

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Forty-two civilians on Sunday were killed or wounded in a bicycle bomb explosion near Babel’s Hilla, according to a local police source. “Today, five civilians were killed and 37 others were injured when a bicycle bomb detonated near al-Maseeb Mosque in al-Madina Market (45 km north of Hilla),” the source noted, providing no further details. Earlier today, a security source said that eight civilians were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in Jabla Market (50 km northeast of Hilla).
