Parl. speaker, Turkish envoy discuss elections bill

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Iyad al-Samarraie on Wednesday discussed the elections law and proposals to resolve the Kirkuk crisis with the Turkish ambassador in the country, according to an official statement. The two officials discussed the proposals that have been put forward to defuse the crisis before the holding of a general parliamentary election on January 16, 2009,” read the statement that was published on the official web site of the Iraqi Parliament.
