VP appeals to Turkey to relieve wounded from Sunday blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi has urged the Turkish government to help relieve those who were badly wounded in the blasts that rocked Baghdad over a week ago. Hashemi has praised the humanitarian response shown by the Turkish government, according to a statement released by Hashemi’s office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Hashemi called on Turkey to treat 18 of those wounded. On October 25, two truck bombs hit the Iraqi Ministry of Justice and Baghdad’s provincial council, leaving 140 persons dead and 860 others wounded, according to recent figures released by the Iraqi police.
