14 wounded as blast ripped through central Hilla

BABEL / Aswt al-Iraq: Fourteen people were wounded in an unidentified blast in central al-Hilla city on Thursday, according to a security source. “A blast whose causes are yet to be identified occurred on al-Maktabat street, central Hilla, leaving 14 persons wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A criminal investigations team in the province of Babel is now probing the incident,” the source added, not giving further details. The blast is the fourth to take place on that street since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq took place in 2003. The last one was in the year 2007.
