Talabani, Allawi discuss preparations for legislative elections

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani discussed with Iyad Allawi, the leader of the Iraqi National List (INL) parliamentary bloc, current preparations to join the legislative elections racing that is scheduled to be held on January 16, 2010, according to a release by Talabani’s office on Friday. “Allawi congratulated Talabani, the leader of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan party, over the success of the mini-conference of the PUK, recently held in the Kurdish city of Sulaimaniya,” read the release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
