Gunmen wound policeman in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A policeman was wounded by gunmen in western Mosul city on Sunday but security forces managed to arrest them, a security source in Ninewa said. “Gunmen opened fire at a policeman who was on a leave of absence from duty near his house in the area of Dorat al-Mustashfa, western Mosul, leaving him wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Policemen near the scene tracked down the culprits and arrested two of them,” he added. “A gun was seized in the possession of the gunmen who are now remanded under investigative custody,” the source added, not giving further details.
