North Oil Company employee wounded by gunmen

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A man working for the North Oil Company on Sunday was injured by unknown gunmen in downtown Kirkuk, according to a local police official. “At 07:15 a.m. today, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Iyad Jaro, who works for the North Oil Company, in front of his house in Gharnata neighborhood,” Lt. Col. Kamel Ahmed told IraqiNews.com news agency. Jaro, who was on his way to work, was wounded and taken to the public hospital for treatment, the official explained. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
