Dutch firms delegation wraps up visit to Kurdistan

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A visiting delegation of Dutch companies concluded a visit to the Iraqi Kurdistan region, where these firms will be working in the fields of agriculture, technology and investment. “The delegation has visited most of the region’s cities and got acquainted with the reconstruction projects and investment opportunities available,” the delegation’s chief told IraqiNews.com news agency. “We’re happy to pay such a visit that aims to enhance relations with the region,” he said, adding the Dutch companies represented in the delegation have vast experience in the fields of agriculture and technology and can benefit the region. A delegation of 20 Dutch firms had arrived a week ago in the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan region to weigh investment chances there. “We did not have much of a chance to sign contracts or memorandums of understanding but we will return soon for this purpose and all the companies in the delegation have already decided to open offices in the region,” the delegation chief said during a press conference he held at the headquarters of the Dutch honorary consulate in Arbil.
