4 arrested in Falluja over acts of violence

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Four persons suspected of involvement in acts of violence were arrested in the district of al-Amiriya, southern Falluja city, on Saturday morning, a security source in al-Anbar said. “A force from the Falluja police, acting on intelligence tip-offs and by virtue of an official arrest warrant, conducted a raid on a village in Amiriyat al-Falluja, capturing four wanted persons,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The arrested men are charged with detonating improvised explosive devices a few days ago in several areas in Falluja. They confessed to having launched other terrorist operations against civilians and Iraqi police and army forces,” he added. Falluja, the largest city in the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar, lies 110 km west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
