Iran’s negative role in Arab region started to become evidently clear – Nejefi

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A prominent Iraqi politician said that Iran’s “negative” role has started to become evidently clear for all to see, citing Yemen, which, he said, “is having an Iran-backed rebellion”. “This interference is even stretching profoundly to reach Saudi Arabian territories in a neatly-planned way just for the sake of triggering problems and conflicts and enfeeble the Arabs,” Osama al-Nejefi, the secretary general of the National Iraqyoon Grouping, said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “This falls within attempts by Iran to dominate the region and act as if it is the region’s policeman,” Nejefi added. He pointed out that Iraq’s correlation with the Arabs represents a history and common civilization. “We condemn this (Iranian) interference and reject any attempts to capitalize on internal differences in order to attain expansionist colonialist projects and create sectarian schisms,” added Nejefi.
