KA threatens to sue Trade Ministry

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdistan Alliance (KA) threatened on Monday to sue the Iraqi Trade Ministry for reported manipulation of the statistics presented by the Planning Ministry on Kurdistan’s census. “The Ministry has not dealt with the statistics released by the Planning Ministry in a legal and technical way,” Raaoof Othman told reporters. “The Ministry overlooked hundreds of thousands of Kurdish voters in the coming elections,” the lawmaker said. “Sulaimaniya lost five seats, while Iraq’s remaining cities increased their seats,” he said, noting that Arbil’s share increased by only one seat.
