Workshop on water scarcity begins in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: An international workshop on the effect of the water scarcity in increasing the salt percentage in water in Basra began on Wednesday with the participation of researchers from several countries, according to a member of the preparatory committee of the workshop. “The workshop is being held under the title (Water source of Life and base of economic prosperity),” Mouhsen Abdulhai told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The workshop aims to determine the water resources and their effect on the percentage of the salt in water in Basra as well as using modern technology in the field of purification and desalination of water to secure the drinking water for citizens,” he added.
