Killing, looting gang arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested in central Basra on Saturday a killing and armed robbery gang, according to a local security source. “The arrests occurred in a raid operation that targeted the gang’s safe hide in al-Jumhoriya neighborhood, central Basra,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the gang consists of six members who confessed during preliminary interrogations to their involvement in a number of armed robberies that left civilians dead.
