IraqiNews.com receives PM’s congratulations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The independent news agency IraqiNews.com has received a congratulatory cable from Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on the occasion of its fifth anniversary, celebrated on Saturday, November 21, 2009. “I wish you progress and success,” Prime Minister Maliki in a message received by IraqiNews.com along with a bouquet. IraqiNews.com celebrated on Friday in central Baghdad its fifth anniversary with the participation of a number of lawmakers and media people. Head of the parliament’s media and culture committee, Mufeed al-Jezairy, on the sidelines of the free media conference patronized by the parliament, congratulated IraqiNews.com for its “great effort and contribution to the Iraqi media in five year”. Iraqi journalists and media people, for their part, praised the role played by IraqiNews.com during the past five years. Editor-in-Chief Zuhair al-Jezairy received congratulations from all journalists who attended the ceremony as well as congratulatory cables. IraqiNews.com is an independent Iraqi news agency with contributions from a network of Iraqi correspondents spread throughout the country and from three independent Iraqi newspapers. The agency began publishing in Arabic on 21 November 2004 and now provides services in Arabic, Kurdish and English through its website www.aswataliraq.info .
