Typical market inaugurated south of Kut

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A typical market has been opened south of Kut City as part of the provincial development projects for the year 2008, a local media director said on Tuesday. “Today, Wassit’s Governor Lateef Hamad al-Tarfa opened a typical market in Sheikh Saad district (50 km south of Kut),” Majid al-Itabi told IraqiNews.com news agency. The market was erected at a cost of 1.867 billion Iraqi dinars, Itabi explained, adding that the completion period of the project was 240 days. The market has 400 stores, he noted.
