Al-Hakim calls to resort to constitution to tackle problems between Arbil, Baghdad

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council called on Wednesday to resort to the constitution in tackling problems between the Kurdistan region and Baghdad. This came during a meeting held at Martyr Saad Abdullah hall in the conferences palace in Arbil, attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Strong Iraq should have a strong central government, strong provinces and constitution,” al-Hakim said. “There is an important and security development in the country, mainly after the withdrawal of U.S. troops from cities,” he added. “We are about to form a national Iraqi bloc and we call on all political blocs to participate in it,” he noted.
