Deputy premier, Turkish ambassador take on politics

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister Rafie al-Issawi on Wednesday discussed with the Turkish ambassador to the country the current situation on the Iraqi political scene and the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary polls, according to an official statement. “On Wednesday, Issawi received Murat Özçelik and discussed with him the political and security situation in Iraq, in addition to the current preparations to ensure the success and transparency of the electoral process,” read the statement that was released by Issawi’s office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
